About the Owner
Bill Pritt
FortyFive° officially opened on June 7, 2008. FortyFive° is the life long passion of its owner, Bill Pritt. Its concept, atmosphere, and design was inspired by Bill’s North side establishment, Blu Martini. He has continued to experience tremendous success at Blu Martini since his acquisition of the business in October of 2005.
Blu Martini is well known for its great sushi, delicious food, extensive bar and martini list, and incredible music with DJ’s every Friday and Saturday night. Blu Martini sets itself apart by hosting unbelievably popular events such as Fashion Shows, The White Party, Favorite Things Christmas Party, and Blu Years Eve.
As a resident of downtown, Bill set out to bring the same distinctive atmosphere Blu Martini provides to North suburban residents, a little closer to home. He found no better location to house the restaurant, sushi bar, and nightlife concept than Massachusetts Avenue, in the heart of the art and theater district, in Downtown Indianapolis.
FortyFive Degrees, although birthed from similar principals, is very different than its North side predecessor in areas of architecture, design, menu, and hours of operation. Named for the odd angle at which Mass Ave meets College, FortyFive Degrees is incased with funky angled walls, odd shaped seating areas, and tubular light pendants, all of which add to the theme. As with the design, Bill also wanted a greater focus on the quality food and delicious recipes that had contributed to previous success. Expanding hours of operation to service lunch guests, and providing additional healthy and unique menu choices are ideas that have been implemented upon opening the new venue.
As the company continues to grow, Bill Pritt stays current on industry trends while remaining focused on key principals that have contributed to his 15+ years of restaurant industry success. Bill’s late Grandfather is credited for instilling many of these business and life principals in him. Heritage Entertainment, Inc. was formed, in his honor, to operate the company.
